Office Angels Limited is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder in Wigston, Leicester. You will set up and run CNC grinding equipment to produce precise components, reading detailed drawings and maintaining high quality finishes.

You will work on rotating shifts with time-and-a-half and enhanced overtime, in a modern manufacturing facility with advanced materials. The role emphasizes accuracy, traceability and safe working practices within a dedicated engineering team.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Grinder or Manual Grinder.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment and inspection procedures.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate and adjust CNC grinding machinery to produce precise components.
• Carry out precision grinding to tight tolerances and high surface finish quality.
• Work from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, bore gauges and other measuring tools.
• Monitor grinding wheels, tooling, dressing cycles and machine performance.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records and follow safety procedures.

The Working Hours - Rotating Shifts

Morning Shift:

• Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am

Afternoon Shift:

• Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
• Friday: 11:30am - 5:00pm

The Role

As a CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for setting and operating grinding machinery to manufacture precision components to exceptionally tight tolerances and exacting quality standards.

Working with materials including titanium, maraging steels and super alloys, you will play an important role in ensuring components meet demanding engineering specifications.

• Setting, operating and adjusting CNC grinding machinery.
• Carrying out precision grinding to achieve tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conducting in-process inspections using micrometers, bore gauges and other precision measuring equipment.
• Monitoring grinding wheels, tooling, dressing cycles and machine performance.
• Ensuring all components meet the required quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate production and inspection records.
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a CNC Grinder or Manual Grinder.
• Experience with cylindrical, surface or internal grinding would be advantageous.
• Ability to work to tight engineering tolerances.
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
