Job summary

Ristara, a reputable aerospace manufacturing company supplying components to leading aerospace programs, is seeking a CNC Grinder. You will join a high-precision team focused on very tight tolerances and quality.

In this role you will set up and operate Jones & Shipman grinding machines, read complex drawings, inspect your own work and use standard measuring equipment. Hours are Monday to Thursday 6am–6pm with overtime at premium rates.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained/Time served engineer.
• Experience in aerospace or high-tolerance industries (Nuclear, Medical, Automotive, Motorsport).
• Must work to AS9100 standards.
• Good teamwork, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and forward-thinking with a can-do attitude.
• Reading engineering drawings and using standard measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Jones & Shipman grinding machines.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Inspect own work to ensure tolerances are met.
• Use standard measuring equipment to verify dimensions.

Job description

You will be joining a reputable Aerospace manufacturing company who supply components into the leading aerospace companies such as AIRBUS and BOEING.

For the CNCGrinder position you must:

• Experience of Setting and Operating Jones & Shipman Grinding machines
• Must be conversant with Fanuc controls
• Must have experience working to very tight tolerances
• Be able to read complex engineering drawings
• Ability to self inspect your own work
• Ability to use standard measuring equipment

Required qualifications for the CNCGrinder roleare:

• Apprentice trained/Time served engineer
• Industry experience - Aerospace (ideal), Nuclear, Medical or Automotive (high end), Motorsport: all with high tolerances
• Be able to work to AS9100 standards
• Must have good team working skills coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Flexible and forward thinker with a 'can do' attitude.

Hours for the role:

Monday - Thursday 6am-6pm (12 hour shifts)

Overtime is also available at premium rates
