Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CNC Engineer to join its high-volume production team. You will have proven CNC programming and setting experience, particularly with aluminium diecast components, and you'll work on high-speed 5-axis machines to drive efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include supporting daily production, tool changes, maintaining fixtures, monitoring quality, and developing process documentation.

Qualifications

• Apprentice served or college certification is required and proven CNC programming in a production environment.
• Proven CNC machine programming and setting experience in a production environment.
• Experience with aluminium diecast machining is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNCs, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixtures, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools and track tool life; investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in generating SWIs.
• Set procedures and standards; drive TPM and 5S.
• Train and mentor others on safe equipment operation.
• Other related duties as required by Process Engineering Manager.

CNC Engineer

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Engineer.

As a CNC Engineer, you will have a proven track record and experience in machining aluminium diecast components on high speed 5 axis machines.

Responsibilities

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNC’s and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWI’s.
• Set procedures and standards.
• Drive TPM and 5S.
• Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly.
• Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should be apprentice served or have a formal college certification and proven CNC machine programming and setting in production environment.
