Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production with accurate manufacturing packs, drawings and practical engineering input across CNC machining work. Based in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, the role involves CAD/CAM support, drawing reviews and continuous improvement to manufacturing efficiency.

Essential experience includes CNC programming, reading engineering drawings and using CAD/CAM software, with a strong quality focus.

Qualifications

Previous experience programming and operating CNC machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to use CAD/CAM software.
Strong attention to quality and accuracy.
Experience setting and machining one-off fabrications, castings.
Skills in inspection and measurement.

Responsibilities

Review contracts in team meetings and capture information from sales estimates and production planning.
Check incoming materials against specification and resolve discrepancies.
Identify and resolve missing or conflicting dimensional and tolerance information.
Produce complete shop-floor manufacturing packs, including ballooned drawings and feature lists.
Create 2D drawings and 3D models and support offline programming where required.
Contribute to improving estimating accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
