Job summary

AWD online in Saltburn-by-the-Sea is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a precision engineering team. You will set, program and operate medium to large CNC machines to manufacture components from castings, forgings, and profiles.

You will work on a two-week shift pattern with day and night shifts, enjoy ongoing training and development, and benefit from overtime pay and a supportive environment focused on quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in a machine shop.
• Experience with milling machines and borers.
• Able to set one-off jobs.
• Programming skills for CNC machines.
• Reading engineering drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set and programme CNC machines for varied machining work.
• Operate CNC machinery to produce precision components.
• Read engineering drawings to determine requirements.
• Check dimensions with manual measuring tools.
• Collaborate with shop supervisors and QA teams.
