Job summary

First Base Employment is seeking an experienced CNC 4/5 Axis Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator for a Worcester-based role. The candidate will program, set and operate Mazak 4 and 5 axis centres to produce a variety of highly toleranced components in line with drawings and quality standards.

Essential experience includes setting and operating CNC machining centres, safe CNC control operation, and working effectively within a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding and experience of setting and operating CNC-controlled Machining Centres.
• Demonstrable experience using CNC controls safely and confidently.
• Experience working in a busy manufacturing environment with a proactive, quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Mazak 4 and 5 Axis Machining Centres.
• Producing a wide range of highly toleranced components to drawings and quality standards.
• Using Mazatrol CNC controls to program and edit existing programs.
• Working as part of a team of engineers while following health and safety guidelines.
• Contributing to health and safety improvements and kaizen initiatives.
