Job summary

CB&I Asset Solutions is seeking a CMS Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports contract managers and on-site assessors, delivering CMS training, assessments, and QA across projects, including offshore sites.

You will verify CFA qualifications against National Occupational Standards, create compliance reports, and participate in audits. A Workplace Assessor and an Internal Verifier qualification plus offshore survival certification are required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Qualified Workplace Assessor (L&D9DI) or equivalent.
• Qualified Internal Verifier (L&D11) or equivalent.
• Recent experience assessing vocational qualifications (apprenticeships or NVQ/SVQ).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Offshore Survival Certification (BOSIET/MIST) or willing to obtain.
• Proven CMS software experience and qualifications delivery.
• Ability to plan tasks and manage priorities autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Support Contract Managers and teams with CMS competence implementation.

JOB TITLE: CMS ADVISOR

The post is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Contract Managers, Focal Points, Contract Support Leads with the implementation and ongoing management of Competence including closure of gaps.
• Train and coach the on site Assessors.
• Carry out assessment of Assessors against the current National Occupational Standard in Assessment (Qualifications Scotland).
• Carry out Internal Quality Assurance applying the CMS Verification Standard and Sampling strategy.
• Provide compliance reports to internal and external clients as per agreed frequency.
• Carry out completion of internal team reports and all actions i.e. changes for contracts responsible for manage deviations, risk assessments and MoC’s requests.
• Delivery of CMS inductions and CMS demos for new starts.
• Manage project requests from design to implementation.
• Carry out profile design and consult on new contract builds in SVX.
• Actively support and participate in internal and external client audits.
• Actively support and participate in Awarding Organisation audits i.e. OPITO, Qualifications Scotland.
• Focal point for contracts ensuring a holistic approach of all activities for internal and external individuals on the contract.
• Adhere to CB&I Competence Framework and standards as well as Awarding Organisation requirements.
• Carry out site visits (offshore) as requested and required by client.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Workplace Assessor Qualification i.e. L&D9DI or equivalent.
• Internal Verifier Qualification i.e. L&D11 or equivalent.
• Recent experience of assessing vocational qualifications i.e. apprenticeships or NVQ/SVQ’s including PDA’s.
• Good working experience of Microsoft Office tools.
• Current Offshore Survival Certification (BOSIET, MIST) or be willing to undertake.
• Demonstrable experience of CMS software systems and designing profiles/requirements within proven recent experience in the delivery of qualifications – successfully progressing a full cohort of learners from induction through to certification (SVQ/NVQ/SCQF/PDA).
• Ability to organise tasks, priorities and have forward planning.
• Ability to work autonomously on own initiative.
