Job summary

DK Recruitment Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced CMM Technician to join its quality team, focusing on inspecting high-precision components and verifying dimensional accuracy against engineering specifications.

You will programme and operate CMMs (Aberlink preferred), produce First Article Inspection Reports, support root-cause investigations, and work with production, engineering and quality to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven CMM inspection experience within aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience with CMM programming, ideally using Aberlink software.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience with FAI and AS9102 documentation.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment, including micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs and gauges.
• Good mechanical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

You will be responsible for inspecting components, verifying dimensional accuracy and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme and operate CMM equipment.
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.
• Produce inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
• Support investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Work with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain calibration, traceability and compliance with relevant quality standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Support audits and continuous improvement activities.

Skills and Experience
