Job summary

Pact Engineering in Luton, Bedfordshire, seeks a CMM Quality Manager / Senior Inspector to uphold high-precision manufacturing standards. You will inspect components, interpret drawings, and lead quality documentation in a busy machine shop environment.

The role offers on-site work with training opportunities to enhance skills, collaborating with production to reduce defects and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within a precision engineering environment.
• Experience programming and operating Aberlink preferred; other CMM software considered.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Good communication skills and collaborative working style.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect precision components and finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Use precision measurement tools including micrometres, gauges and CMM equipment for quality assessments.
• Identify and report non-conforming components.
• Produce detailed inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Identify defects, support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects.
• Support development and maintenance of quality procedures and ISO9001 standards.
