Job summary

Quest Precision Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector to join our precision engineering team in Dundee. • Experience performing first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with CMMs and precision measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management.
• Proven track record in metal precision fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Management of quality workload with regards first off inspections, in process inspections and patrol inspection.
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision CNC-machined components.
• Operate and programme Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and other inspection instruments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), where required.
• Identify, record and report non-conforming products.
• Work closely with CNC machinists, programmers and the quality team to resolve dimensional or quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements and customer specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.

Quest Precision Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector to join our precision engineering team.

We specialise in high-quality CNC machining and the manufacture of precision-engineered components, primarily serving the oil and gas industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all manufactured components meet our customers' exacting quality standards along with organising the Quality team.

Key Responsibilities
