THOMAS Professional is hiring a CMM Quality Inspector for a Stonehouse-based precision engineering business. The role is a permanent full-time position with a day shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm). Salary is up to £37,000 DOE, with excellent benefits and career progression in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CMM Quality Inspector in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Experience with CMM equipment and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out dimensional inspections of precision engineered components.
• Operating CMM inspection equipment.
• Completing first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Recording inspection results and completing quality documentation.

The successful CMM Quality Inspector will play a key role within the quality department, ensuring components meet strict engineering and customer standards through accurate inspection and reporting processes.

The Person

• Previous experience as a CMM Quality Inspector within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating CMM equipment
• Aberlink experience would be beneficial
• Able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and measuring equipment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
