Job summary

Senior Flexonics – Lymington Precision Engineers is seeking a diligent CMM Inspector in the UK to ensure components meet drawing tolerances through CMM or manual inspection. You will support production, run CMM programs, and maintain quality documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in a high-precision environment, GD&T understanding, and proficiency with CMM software such as COSMOS, PC-DMIS, or Mitutoyo systems. Monday–Friday shifts with 39 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in alternate controls software to create programs for inspection.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of CMM best practice techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
• Understanding of drawing tolerances & specifications.
• Proficient in IT software, including Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, using CMM or manual methods, adjusting CMM programs.
• Multiset CMMs when required.
• Perform in process, first off and final inspection activities and evaluate conformance to engineering requirements.
• Raise nonconforming material/products and support corrective action investigations.
• Maintain documentation and reports, updating PCPs, critical feature requirements and FAIR data.
• Review supplier documentation and perform manual inspection activities.
