Job summary

Thrive Oldham are recruiting for a CMM Inspector on behalf of our client in Blaenavon, South Wales. You will inspect products in line with the MoM to ensure conformity to customer specifications.

Role includes manual, Faro arm and visual checks, calibration of test equipment, and ensuring full traceability with serialization. This is a permanent role on a 3-shift cycle with a base hourly rate plus shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an inspector within a similar industry.
• Computer Literate.
• Experience of NDT i.e. penetrant testing methods, anodizing, acid etching techniques.
• Experience of CMM.
• Experience of Faro Arm.
• FLT License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product in line with the Method of Manufacture to ensure conformance.
• Perform manual, Faro arm and visual inspection checks as necessary.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and notify Quality if issues arise.
• Record results on standard template for traceability.
• Serialise product to aid traceability of parts.
• Perform Statistical Process Control analysis as required.
• Maintain departmental documentation and EFACs.
• Highlight non-conformances to Quality and contribute to quality improvements.
• Participate in shift handover and collaborate to achieve KPIs.
• Work with other departments to ensure high product/process quality.
• Transport product using FLT/Pump Truck as necessary.
• Promote continuous improvement culture and assist in quality investigations.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to achieve required quality standards.
