Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in South Wales with the recruitment of a CMM Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent. The role involves inspecting components using CMM and metrology equipment within a busy quality environment.

You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and maintain quality records while supporting investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing quality inspection.
• GD&T knowledge and reading drawings.
• Experience with CMM and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure and verify components using CMM and metrology equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Support quality investigations and report findings.
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Calibrate gauges and inspection equipment with external suppliers.
• Conduct internal quality audits.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
