Job summary

Accept Recruitment is seeking a CMM Inspector in Willenhall to join the quality team within a precision engineering division supplying Motorsport, Automotive and Defence components. The role involves visual and dimensional inspection, reading drawings, GD&T and generating CMM programs.

You'll work with Aberlink software and a range of measurement tools on high-spec, high-throughput parts, with a twilight shift 4.15pm to 2am. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £41,200.

Qualifications

• Proven CMM inspection experience, ideally with Aberlink.
• Strong GD&T understanding and drawing interpretation.
• Experience generating CMM programs for CNC measurement.
• Comfortable using hand tools, gauges and standard measurement devices.
• Methodical and detail-focused in a busy engineering team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced CMM Inspector to join the Quality team within a precision machining division supplying components into Motorsport, Automotive, and Defence sectors. This is a great opportunity for a confident, detail-focused inspector to work closely with the Engineering team on a variety of high-spec, high-throughput components.

The Role:

• Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of components to required quality standards
• Perform CMM inspection using Aberlink software
• Generate CMM programs to measure components in CNC mode
• Manually measure parts using verniers, micrometres, gauges and callipers
• Work with a range of materials including aluminium, steel, castings and cast iron
• Write CofCs, ISIRs and FAIRs, and raise concessions where required
• Document quality issues and report non-conformances
• Compile detailed inspection reports
• Read and interpret technical drawings, geometric features and tolerances (GD&T)

What We're Looking For:

• Proven CMM inspection experience, ideally with Aberlink software
• Experience generating CMM programs
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Confident reading technical engineering drawings
• Comfortable working with hand tools/gauges as well as CMM equipment
• Manual handling training/lifting equipment experience desirable (training provided if needed)
• Methodical, accurate, and able to work well within a busy engineering team
