Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, seeks an experienced CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist for a 12-month contract at £800 per day inside IR35. You will own development of a central CMDB and the surrounding apps, automation, dashboards and reporting, delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Role includes designing data models, API integrations, automation, and KPI dashboards using platforms such as Google AppSheet, Looker

Qualifications

• 3+ years' application development experience.
• Strong SQL and database design experience.
• REST API integration experience.
• Data modelling skills.
• Reporting and dashboard development experience.
• KPI design and analytics capability.
• Solid CMDB / ITSM knowledge.
• Configuration Management and Asset Management knowledge.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a CMDB management application from the ground up.
• Build intuitive interfaces for Configuration Item management.
• Develop CI lifecycle workflows, validation and data integrity controls.
• Integrate multiple data sources using APIs and connectors.
• Automate data collection, synchronisation and maintenance.
• Define and maintain robust CMDB data models.
• Improve data accuracy and consistency across CMDB assets.
• Develop CI relationship and service mapping capabilities.
• Support asset, infrastructure, application and service inventories.
• Establish governance, audit and data-quality controls.
• Build operational and executive dashboards.
• Develop KPI, SLA and CMDB health reporting.
• Create automated reporting and scheduled management information.
• Deliver trend analysis and performance insight.
• Develop real-time monitoring and exception reporting.
