Job summary

AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) is seeking a Systems Engineer to build and operate cloud services, automate operations, and mentor junior teammates in a large-scale, highly available environment. You will work across Amazon services to improve reliability and throughput while delivering customer value.

You will contribute to operational excellence, own incidents end-to-end, dive into root causes, and support a collaborative culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, Perl, Bash) and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own cloud production services, building, deploying, operating, sustaining and growing them.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Identify opportunities for improvements using trends and metrics in large-scale environments.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce toil and improve reliability.
