Job summary
Amazon is seeking engineers to help build and operate AWS services in the UK, spanning compute, databases, storage, IoT, and platforms. You will work in a fast-paced, DevOps-driven environment, focusing on reliability, scalability, and security while collaborating with senior engineers.
The role requires strong Linux troubleshooting and scripting skills, experience with automation and modern configuration management, and the ability to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting, or experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP) and experience with automation and any version control tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering experience
- Knowledge of configuration management systems, such as: CDK, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems.
- Experience automating software deployments and following a continuous delivery and deployment model
- Experience with system analysis and troubleshooting in a Linux environment
