Job summary

SYNLAB UK is recruiting a Server and Cloud Engineer to join the Corporate IT Server and Cloud Team at the Blackfriars office. The role supports critical infrastructure across SYNLAB UK business units, with occasional travel to other locations.

You will work on modern server, cloud and related infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable services and contributing to service improvements. The role requires strong technical experience, operational discipline and a pragmatic approach to delivering

Responsibilities

Maintain the availability, performance and security of server and cloud platforms.
Provide third-line technical support for incidents, service requests and complex investigations.
Assist in the design, implementation and support of infrastructure and cloud-based solutions.
Maintain and support Microsoft Azure, Windows Server and related platform technologies.
Support identity, authentication and access management services with least-privilege in mind.
Contribute to patching, backup, recovery and business continuity activities.
Monitor platform health, capacity and performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Create and maintain technical documentation and support knowledge articles.
Support project delivery from design to operational handover.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective service delivery.
