Job summary

Hackajob Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior security engineer to deliver, operate, and secure private cloud services for critical customers.

You will scale deployments, work with product teams to enhance technology, and integrate security validation into infrastructure and operations in collaboration with Incident Response, Platform Engineering and Security Architects. The role emphasizes cloud-native security, Kubernetes expertise, and automation of security tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/InfoSec or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years in security engineering, red/purple teaming or platform roles.
• IaC/GitOps experience with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD and cloud-native security tools.
• Kubernetes security including RBAC, workload isolation and network policies.
• Python/Go scripting to build security tooling and automation.
• UK DV clearance or ability to obtain; British citizenship required.
• Advanced offensive certs (OSCP, OSEP, OSCE, GXPN) preferred.
• Experience with Red Team/Purple Team in cloud-native environments preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud-native logging, SIEM integration and attack surface.
• Understanding container escapes, privilege escalation, lateral movement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, operate and secure private cloud services for critical customers.
• Scale, secure and maintain private cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with product teams to improve technology.
• Integrate security validation into infra/ops with Incident Response and Security Architects.
• Deploy and manage cloud security tools including SIEM/IDS/IPS/CWPP.
• Develop security monitoring and logging strategies.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and containment actions.
• Perform forensic analysis of suspicious activity.
• Automate security tasks and workflows for efficiency.
