Job summary

Hastings Direct in the UK is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to evaluate new security technologies and cloud services, implement cloud-native solutions and drive a cloud-first security strategy. Qualifications

• Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, CISSP or CCSK are desirable.
• Proven experience designing and securing cloud environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST) and security controls.
• Hands-on with AKS, microservices and secure coding practices.
• Experience with DevSecOps, Defender tools, SIEM and cloud-native security services.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communications across teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new security technologies and cloud services for potential adoption.
• Develop cloud security solutions using Security as Code and automation tooling.
• Collaborate with Security Architects to define and own cloud security strategy.
• Establish cloud security guardrails and evaluate cloud-native services for developers.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security standards and governance guidelines.
• Embrace agile practices to release enterprise-class cloud services with partners.
