Job summary

Hastings Direct is actively hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to help secure our cloud-first environment and enable agile delivery of enterprise-class services. You will evaluate new security technologies, design cloud-native controls, and partner with Security Architects to define the security strategy across Azure and AKS.

You will implement guardrails, governance, and secure coding practices, while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver scalable, highly available security

Qualifications

• Azure-focused security experience with cloud-first mindset.
• Experience designing, implementing, and securing cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with governance and compliance controls (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Hands-on with AKS and microservices architecture.
• Experience with DevSecOps tooling to integrate security into development.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new security technologies and cloud services; perform security analysis to decide on adoption and implement where required.
• Develop cloud security solutions using Security as Code and cloud automation tooling.
• Collaborate with Security Architects to define and own cloud security strategy.
• Establish cloud security best practices and guardrails for developers.
• Validate solutions meet enterprise security standards and governance guidelines.
• Embrace agile practices and work with cross-functional teams to release cloud services.
