Job summary

Cyber Security training courses is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a fully remote UK-based contract. You will optimise cloud security operations across AWS and cloud-native environments, acting as a SME within a Palo Alto ecosystem to improve threat detection and Zero Trust controls.

You will work on security automation, CSPM/KSPM, and secure access technologies, collaborating with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to drive continuous security improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Cortex XSIAM and Cortex Cloud.
• Experience with CSPM and KSPM platforms.
• Proficiency with Prisma Access and secure access technologies.
• Experience with AWS security services and cloud-native security controls.
• Kubernetes and container security expertise.
• Threat detection, threat hunting and incident response.

• Palo Alto security technologies, including NGFW and Panorama.
• SIEM technologies and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and tune threat detection rules and automated response playbooks.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation and remediation.
• Manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities.
• Improve Kubernetes and container security posture.

• Drive security automation, integrations, and policy-as-code initiatives.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to implement security improvements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join a leading consultancy supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. You'll join a collaborative security team responsible for enhancing cloud security capabilities, strengthening cyber resilience, and driving continuous security improvement across modern cloud platforms.

Your New Role

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising cloud security operations across AWS and cloud-native environments. Working as a subject-matter expert within a Palo Alto security ecosystem, you will help improve threat detection, reduce security risk, enhance Zero Trust controls, and support the ongoing evolution of cloud security technologies.

Key responsibilities will include:
