Job summary

Danaher is seeking a Cloud Platform Lead as part of its Digital Product Development. The role focuses on engineering, delivery, automation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise cloud platform with AWS as the main provider and Azure support where needed.

You will work with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Product Engineering and SRE to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure and self-service services globally, in a hybrid setup based in Cambridge for Abcam Global Operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating AWS platforms in enterprise environments.
• AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enhancements across networking, identity, connectivity, compute, storage, and container platforms.
• Implement governance, resilience, recoverability, and operational readiness requirements.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Drive GitOps and automation-first practices while reducing manual processes.
• Ensure infrastructure provisioning is automated, repeatable, version-controlled, and secure.
• Build and maintain reusable modules, templates, and deployment pipelines.
• Establish engineering quality standards for infrastructure code.
