Job summary

Google LLC's Cloud Platform Growth team in the UK/IE seeks a Customer Engineer to lead high-impact technical engagements with rapidly scaling startups. You will help founders and CTOs accelerate product delivery, design scalable data platforms with BigQuery and real-time analytics, and guide AI workloads across Gemini and partner ecosystems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience working directly within or as a technical advisor to venture-backed startups or scaleups.

Responsibilities

Deliver presentations, product demos, and technical workshops at Google events and industry conferences.
Build and nurture trusted-advisor relationships with startup CTOs, founders and engineering teams.
Help customers design and scale modern data platforms using BigQuery and real-time streaming.
Guide startups on AI workloads including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic workflows with Gemini and partner ecosystems.
Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, address technical objections, and design secure cloud architectures.
