Job summary

Epos Now is seeking a Head of Cloud in Norwich to lead the cloud platform and infrastructure teams, shaping cloud strategy and driving growth in AWS-based services. You will bridge architecture, operations and people leadership while delivering secure, scalable solutions.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with executive collaboration, focusing on IaC, automation, and developer enablement to improve velocity and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineering teams with a track record of delivering cloud-scale platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience architecting and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Node.js with an infra-as-code mindset.
• Strategic thinker able to influence executives and align tech initiatives with business goals.
• Focus on reliability, observability, and high-availability systems (SRE).

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud platform and infrastructure teams, recruiting, mentoring, and performance management.
• Define team strategies and operational objectives aligned with business priorities.
• Architect and evolve a secure, scalable AWS ecosystem and platform services.
• Drive IaC, automation, and CI/CD improvements across pipelines.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational excellence across the cloud stack.
• Build internal developer platforms and APIs to enable product teams and improve velocity.
