Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a Software Developer for a permanent, hybrid role across Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester, focusing on AWS and Azure on a large public sector transformation project. You will help research, design and prototype foundations of a new service, emphasizing automation, integration and intelligent workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Automation and system integration focus.
• Comfortable in early-stage, fast-evolving environments.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Active BPSS, SC clearance or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Technical design with architect to shape the technical approach; microservices in Java/Spring Boot.
• Deliver thorough unit tests using common frameworks like JUnit.
• Work with AWS & Azure cloud platforms, leveraging CI/CD.
• Provide technical leadership to Agile project teams delivering high-quality software.
• Communicate technical information clearly and confidently.
• Collaborate across disciplines and engage with wider engineering communities.
• Self-organise and define priorities.
• Mentor and coach colleagues.
