Job summary

Peregrine is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join a major technology transformation program. You will design and run performance, load, stress and volume tests across cloud, hybrid and on‑prem environments, partnering with developers and architects to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.

Working with modern tools (JMeter, Gatling, Eggplant, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber) and observability platforms (Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace), you’ll help ensure scalable,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Performance Testing or Performance Engineering.
• Ability to design, execute and analyse performance, load, stress and volume tests.
• Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Eggplant Performance, Gatling).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Splunk).
• Experience with diagnostic platforms (New Relic, Dynatrace).
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud and Azure Data Factory.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and analyse performance, load, stress and volume tests against complex applications and platforms.
• Develop performance testing strategies with OAT and Functional Test Automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber).
• Identify bottlenecks and investigate performance issues, providing actionable recommendations.
• Use monitoring and observability tools to understand system performance and behaviour.
• Maintain performance test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, Eggplant, Gatling.
• Support performance engineering in containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve testing processes.
• Communicate findings, risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
