Job summary

Capgemini in Reading is seeking a Packet Core Test Engineer to assure quality and readiness of containerized Packet Core for live deployment. The role covers testing, validation, and integration of software releases, with close collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.

The ideal candidate has telecoms Packet Core testing experience, Docker/Kubernetes skills, and a strong grasp of 5G QoS and PFCP signaling. On-site 3 days/week in Reading.

Qualifications

• Experience in Integration and/or Test for Mobile Telecoms Packet Core platforms (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
• Containerized/Docker/Kubernetes and Cloud-native knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency with networking protocols and test/diagnostics tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the acceptance and integration of software releases of Containerized Mobile Packet Core through the test cycle.
• Test management, risk mitigation, platform validation and stakeholder communication.
