Job summary

ECS Resource Group Ltd are recruiting a experienced Packet Core Engineer to join a leading telecommunications organisation on a contract basis in Newbury. You will design, deliver and manage next-generation Packet Core services across 4G, 5G SA, IoT and enterprise connectivity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting Packet Core technologies (MME, AMF, SGSN, GGSN, UPF).
• Strong understanding of 3G/LTE/EPC and 5G Standalone architectures.
• Hands-on with cloud-native networking, NFV, containerisation, automation (Ansible).
• Experience delivering large telecom transformation programmes (EPC to 5G Core, cloud deployments).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage Packet Core platforms including MME, AMF, SGSN, GGSN, SGW, PGW, UPF, IPX/GRX, NAT, DNS and Security Gateways.
• Lead delivery, integration and lifecycle management of Packet Core solutions including EPC to 5G Core migrations.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Operations and Delivery teams to meet business requirements while ensuring performance and regulatory compliance.
• Drive automation and performance monitoring to resolve complex network issues and optimise traffic.
