Job summary

Infoplus Technologies UK Ltd is seeking a Java full stack developer to join a high-profile UK biometric programme. You will design and build cloud-native applications within a multi-vendor team, using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate and microservices.

The role requires SDLC proficiency, plus strong testing and CI/CD with Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes. The candidate should be flexible to work a hybrid model with 1 day per week in Reading and 1 day in Croydon, with travel reimbursements above 50

Qualifications

• Extensive Server Side Java 8+ development experience with Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of Microservice architecture.
• Experience building web services and APIs on REST.
• Strong understanding of unit & integration tests, following TDD/BDD.
• Experience and understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito & Wiremock.
• Understanding of JSON and XML.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native applications as part of a multi-vendor team.
• Contribute to SDLC and rapid learning in a high-profile government programme.
• Develop and maintain RESTful services and data access layers.
• Implement unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews.
