Job summary

Platinum-Recruitment is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for Weston-super-Mare. You will build scalable front-end and back-end solutions, develop RESTful APIs, and contribute to design discussions. Hybrid working model with exposure to modern cloud-based platforms and ongoing technical growth.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in Java/J2EE, experience with React or Struts, and familiarity with Git/SVN/Eclipse, with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' commercial Java/J2EE development experience (essential).
• Strong experience with Java, J2EE & RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with React, Struts or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of Git, SVN & Eclipse.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of unit, integration & regression testing.
• Experience working with APIs & system integrations.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux/UNIX or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) would be advantageous.
• A proactive, collaborative approach & passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable front-end & back-end solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs & system integrations.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews & technical discussions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements & deliver effective solutions.
• Support testing, deployment & release management.
• Produce clear technical documentation.
• Help modernise existing applications & reduce technical debt.
