Job summary

Apexon is seeking a Data Solution Architect in the United Kingdom to design and deliver cloud-native data platforms. You will shape data strategy, translate business needs into end-to-end data solutions on Azure and AWS, and work with delivery teams to ensure impactful, scalable architectures.

You’ll engage with C-level and senior stakeholders, contribute to pre-sales, and advocate modern governance and cost optimization. Travel to client sites across the UK may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect focused on data platforms and cloud data solutions.
• Hands-on design of data solutions on Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory) and AWS (Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda).
• Strong data architecture background including warehousing, real-time and batch processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and cost-effective data platforms on Azure and AWS.
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions, covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and visualization.
• Present architectural options and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders, including high-level and low-level design documentation.
• Collaborate closely with delivery teams, ensuring the accurate implementation of architectural designs and data solutions.
• Define and promote architecture standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for cloud data platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, services, and frameworks aligned with business objectives and industry trends.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Delivery Managers to deliver innovative, cloud-first data solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Support new business opportunities, contribute to pre-sales activities, and assist in shaping client proposals.
• Work across multiple projects, helping Apexon and its clients achieve their strategic data goals.
