Job summary

SRM Digital is seeking a senior data platform architect to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of modern cloud data platforms in the United Kingdom. You will drive the stack, set governance, and mentor multidisciplinary teams while engaging senior clients on strategy and delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with GCP, Python, SQL and dbt, plus a strong background in data modelling, MDM and data quality. A client-facing leadership mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end data platform architecture and delivery.
• Proficiency with GCP or equivalent cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on coding with Python, SQL and dbt.
• Expertise in data governance, metadata, lineage and data quality.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps/DataOps in data projects.
• Proven client-facing consulting and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of cloud data platforms end-to-end.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python/SQL/dbt on GCP.
• Define enterprise data architecture, models, integration patterns and roadmaps.
• Drive MDM, governance, metadata, lineage and data quality initiatives.
• Establish CI/CD, DevOps/DataOps, testing and monitoring best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Science and AI teams to build production-ready foundations.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical governance.
• Engage with senior clients on solution design, delivery, estimation and strategy.
