Job summary

Our Future Health UK is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to embed security into fast‑moving delivery pipelines within a cloud‑native environment. You will influence security tooling, design secure architectures, and mature our Secure Development Lifecycle.

Join a hands‑on team delivering security across Azure/AKS, Databricks, Snowflake and more. The role requires deep AppSec expertise, collaboration with squads, and a passion for secure engineering culture.

Qualifications

Proven hands-on AppSec engineering in cloud-native environments.
Experience embedding security into CI/CD, pipelines and GitHub Actions.
Strong code scanning and vulnerability remediation expertise (SAST/DAST/IAST/SCA).
Experience with policy-as-code using OPA or Azure Policy and threat modelling.

Responsibilities

Partner with development teams to embed security into code, apps, Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
Encourage shift-left security and secure engineering practices.
Operate code scanning to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
