Job summary

Intermedia in the United Kingdom is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to strengthen the security of our cloud-based products. You will act as the voice of security across engineering teams and guide the SDLC to build secure software.

You will review designs, run static and dynamic assessments, and coordinate remediation with DevOps. The role requires 3–5 years in app security, and a degree in a related field. Strong English communication and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in application security.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and OWASP.
• Familiarity with SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Experience identifying AI threats.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and architecture review of new features, suggest security requirements
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on security features in SDLC
• Utilize static security scanning tools, review findings and coordinate remediation actions
• Perform ongoing manual security assessments
• Review the results of external penetration tests and communicate fixes to development teams
• Provide on-demand support on application security topics
• Drive process improvement ideas
• Assist with vetting and intake of defects from 3rd party security researchers via Bug Bounty program
