Job summary

Social Security Scotland is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge business and cloud engineering teams within the Engineering and Cloud Service branch of the Digital, Delivery & Change division. You will drive cloud infrastructure and integration requirements across AWS and IPaaS (Boomi), while applying Scrum practices and using Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering business/technical analysis in Agile/digital projects.
• Experience applying stakeholder management techniques to influence decisions.
• Knowledge of cloud/ integration technologies and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the organisation's cloud infrastructure and integration services to support analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce and maintain analysis outputs: requirements, specs, user stories, options appraisals and benefits analysis.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with customers, project teams and delivery partners.
• Lead analysis activities for small to medium initiatives and support larger programmes, including impact assessment.
• Apply analysis techniques across people, processes, data, technology and structures.
• Elicit, analyse, document and validate business, user and technical requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve outcomes through technology and change.
• Support stakeholders through transformation and ensure solutions meet needs.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams using Agile to design and deliver change.
• Champion user-centred design and advocate for user needs.
• Contribute to Government Digital and Data BA community with knowledge sharing.
