Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Cloud & Hosting Lead to own and evolve our hybrid hosting estate across Azure, AWS, and on-premises. You will shape the platform strategy, drive cost efficiency, and ensure secure, scalable services aligned with business outcomes.

The role requires proven cloud leadership, strong Azure expertise, and experience with multi-cloud environments. The successful candidate will lead governance, automation, and partner relationships within a hybrid working model at Redditch.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cloud and hosting platforms within a large enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud environments (AWS).
• Experience delivering cloud transformation, migrations, or platform maturity programmes.
• Understanding of on-premise infrastructure and data centres or colocation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the hybrid cloud and hosting estate across Azure, AWS, on-premise infrastructure and colocation.
• Define and govern Infrastructure as Code strategy and standards, enabling auditable provisioning.
• Define cloud migration roadmap and modernise workloads over time.
• Drive governance, observability, automation and best practices for the cloud platform.
• Manage outsourced engineering/partner services and maintain delivery quality.
• Own cloud cost management and FinOps activities with spend visibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
• Develop strategic platform roadmaps, budgets and investment priorities.
