Job summary

Halfords seeks a Cloud & Hosting Lead to own and evolve our hybrid hosting estate across Azure, AWS, and on‑premise infrastructure. You will shape the platform direction, drive improvements, and ensure security, scalability and business value.

In this senior role you’ll collaborate with engineering, architects and external partners to define roadmaps, govern IaC, manage FinOps, and lead platform maturity while balancing strategic thinking with operational accountability in a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Leadership of cloud/hosting platforms in a large enterprise.
• Experience delivering cloud transformation, migrations or platform maturity at scale.
• Understanding of on-premise infrastructure and data centres.
• Experience managing outsourced engineering or MSPs.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and hosting estate across Azure, AWS, on-prem and colocation.
• Define and govern Infrastructure as Code strategy and standards.
• Define and deliver cloud migration roadmap to modernise workloads.
• Lead platform maturity with governance, guardrails, automation, and observability.
• Manage third-party engineering and operations partners for quality and delivery.
• Own cloud cost management and FinOps activities.
