Job summary
DWP Digital seeks a senior leader to head Hybrid Cloud Services, guiding strategy, design, delivery and operation for our cloud and hosting platforms. You will oversee a large team across government-wide services, ensuring security, resilience and availability while driving transformation and modern engineering practices.
You will work with senior leaders across DWP and government to shape hosting strategy, lead a 200-strong technology team, and deliver cost-effective, scalable cloud-enabled
Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading design, delivery and operation of large-scale Cloud and Datacentre services.
- Experience delivering cloud transformation programmes and migrations of cloud-native and legacy services.
- Strong leadership of multidisciplinary technology teams and suppliers across multiple workstreams.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cloud and infrastructure technologies with decisive, escalations handling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, delivery and operation of DWP's Hybrid Cloud Services function.
- Provide leadership to a team of around 200 specialists delivering hosting products and services.
- Drive cloud transformation, platform modernisation and service innovation across a large technology estate.
- Balance operational excellence with long-term strategic change initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior government stakeholders to shape hosting and infrastructure strategy.
- Ensure services remain secure, resilient, scalable and cost-effective.
