SSE PLC is seeking a Cloud Engineering professional to contribute to the design and delivery of cloud services, driving infrastructure enhancements and automation patterns. The role offers exposure to migrating applications to Cloud and delivering scalable, resilient solutions across platforms.
You will collaborate with strategists, architects and product owners to align demand with backlogs, develop automation, and improve engineering practices while ensuring security is embedded in all cloud
Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Reading or Havant
Salary: £36,200 - £54,400 + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As a member of the central Cloud Engineering team you would contribute to the design and delivery of cloud services delivered within SSE, the primary objective is to drive cloud infrastructure enhancements, develop the toolchain and automation patterns required to empower transformation. The role will provide the opportunity to be part of SSE's digital transformation and migration of applications to Cloud, ensuring the platform achieves the target standards of efficiency, resilience and availability required by the organisation. This role focuses on the core cloud platform and associated infrastructure and will give the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects across a variety of services and across cloud platforms.
As a team player, you will work closely with a team of strategists, architects, subject matter experts, to craft technical solutions that accelerate our business.
