Job summary

Thales UK is seeking a DevOps Engineer within the Cyber Security & Digital Identity (CDI) team to help build and support a cloud-based digital platform for the UK Digital Competence Centre. You will contribute to DevSecOps practices, securing infrastructure, and enabling efficient CI/CD pipelines for development teams.

Qualifications

• Active interest in the cloud operating environment.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure as a service and platform as a service.
• Ability and interest in scripting languages.
• Strong experience with Cloud infrastructure on Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with build and CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Exposure to application development.
• Good understanding of Cloud design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and build industry leading cloud-based infrastructure on Azure.
• Using modern DevSecOps practices, create and manage secure, low maintenance environments in cloud.
• Create and maintain development tools to enable effective and efficient CI/CD pipelines.
• Help shape and grow cloud estate, with no legacy systems to support.
• Automate and improve development and release process.
• Support release and production environment where necessary.
