Job summary

Thales Group in Crawley, United Kingdom, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to maintain and secure the DCC infrastructure, and to enable automated deployment and provisioning of resources. You will work with delivery teams to implement deployment scripts and ensure robust monitoring and backups.

The role requires a degree in engineering, Agile certification, and a proactive, collaborative approach to improve operational resilience and security across the platform.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in engineering or closely related technical field.
• Chartered status preferred for membership in a professional engineering body.
• Agile certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the technical solution for infrastructure across the DCC environment.
• Define and develop deployment means to provision infrastructure resources (compute, network & storage) in production.
• Support delivery teams with automated tools and scripts for deployment.
• Secure the DCC infrastructure by ensuring best practices in monitoring, backups, archives and log management.
• Educate and communicate with the wider Thales UK community about operational constraints and security practices.
