Job summary

Copello Global Ltd. is seeking a Cloud Developer for a Defence/Engineering client on a contract through March 2027, based largely at Gloucester with one day weekly from Romsey, Gloucester, or Manchester.

The role focuses on AWS, software engineering and infrastructure, engaging in hybrid-cloud work with on-prem and cloud components. You will work within sprint cycles using SCRUM and KANBAN, collaborating closely to deliver outcomes across multiple practices and technologies.

Qualifications

• Security clearance at highest level is required for this role.
• Experience across AWS cloud engineering and software/infrastructure integration.
• Ability to operate in a hybrid-cloud environment with on-premise components.
• Comfort with SCRUM/KANBAN artefacts and sprint cycles.
• Proactive learner capable of ramping up across a broad tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outcomes across AWS, software engineering and infrastructure domains.
• Collaborate with client and vendor teams to align on sprint goals.
• Participate in standard SCRUM and KANBAN ceremonies and artefacts.
• Support hybrid-cloud architecture including on-prem and AWS components.

We are currently looking for a Cloud Developer for a Defence/Engineering company on a contract running till March 2027.

Location

• 80% customer‑site based in Gloucester

• 1 day per week from the office (Romsey, Gloucester, Manchester)

• No home‑working option

Contract Details

• Day Rate: £650-£675 per day

• Duration: Until 31/03/2027

• IR35: Inside

• Clearance:Suitable candidates must already hold the highest level of government clearance.BPSScheck will also be conducted

Role Overview

The Cloud Developer will operate acrossthree primary technical practices:

You will work closely with both the company and the customer, delivering outcomes collaboratively across standardSprint cycles, usingSCRUMandKANBANpractices and artefacts.
