Job summary
La Fosse Associates supports a Central Government organisation on a major technology transformation programme and seeks a Lead Data Engineer to own the data migration workstream. You will drive end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems into a cloud-based platform, collaborating with engineering, architecture, testing, product and delivery teams.

Qualifications
- Strong SQL capability and understanding of relational data models.
- Experience migrating data from legacy platforms into cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT technologies and modern data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS or comparable cloud environments.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile/ multidisciplinary programmes.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data migration strategy and delivery plan.
- Lead migration from legacy/on-premise systems into modern cloud platforms.
- Data discovery, profiling, mapping and transformation.
- Define migration rules, reconciliation processes and acceptance criteria.
- Manage data quality, cleansing and remediation.
- Design and oversee ETL/ELT processes and migration pipelines.
- Plan migration rehearsals, cutover and rollback approaches.
