Job summary

CGI is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data platforms and pipelines that power mission-critical services in the UK. You will work with architects, developers and client stakeholders to turn complex requirements into secure, high-performing data solutions that enable insight and innovation.

You will contribute across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to storage, modelling and visualisation, in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, Spark-SQL, JavaScript or PowerShell.
• Proven ability to design and build data pipelines and workflow solutions.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Kafka and relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, Cassandra).
• Experience in data warehousing and building large-scale data architectures.
• Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
