Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing accountancy practice near Keighley to recruit an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper to join their bookkeeping department. The role involves managing a varied portfolio of small business clients via cloud accounting software and preparing VAT returns.

You will assist with accounts preparation, liaise with clients by phone and email, and support senior accountants through to trial balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK bookkeeping for small businesses.
• Knowledge of Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Experience preparing VAT returns.
• Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of small business clients in cloud accounting.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Liaise with clients by phone and email on accounting queries.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Assist senior accountants through to trial balance and management accounts.
• Support the preparation of management accounts and other accounting matters.
