Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing accountancy practice near Keighley to recruit an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper. You will manage client bookkeeping using cloud software, prepare VAT returns, and support senior accountants.

Candidates with senior backgrounds like Bookkeeper/Client Manager may attract a higher salary based on experience. This is a fully office-based role with clear career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• UK accountancy practice experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Ability to prepare accounts accurately and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of small business clients using cloud software.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Liaise with clients by telephone and email regarding accounting information and queries.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Assist senior accountants with processing entries through to trial balance.
• Support preparation of management accounts and other accounting matters.
• Ensure client accounts are prepared accurately and to a high standard.
• Manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with the bookkeeping and accounts team.
