Job summary

TPF Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a respected firm of chartered accountants based in Ashford, Kent. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare VAT returns, and support wider services as your background allows.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in practice, with hands-on experience across bookkeeping, VAT, CIS and payroll, and familiarity with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks in a cloud environment. AAT qualification or equivalent is valuable.

Qualifications

• Experience across bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, CIS and payroll in an accountancy practice.
• 2–5 years of relevant practice experience preferred.
• AAT qualified or equivalent career development is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bookkeeping services to varied clients.
• Prepare VAT returns for clients and manage related compliance.
• Assist with wider accountancy services as needed.
• Develop client contact and contribute to practice growth.
