Job summary

PM+M invites applications for a semi senior adviser to join the Cloud Accounting team in Blackburn. You will Bookkeep monthly/quarterly using Xero and QBO, prepare VAT returns, and assist in delivering client projects across our cloud division.

With at least 3 years in practice and working towards a professional qualification, you’ll supervise junior staff, build client relationships, and travel between Blackburn and Bury.

Qualifications

• This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least 3 consecutive years’ accountancy practice experience and working towards or having completed a professional qualification.
• Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero and Dext is crucial; year end accounts experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping on a monthly/quarterly basis using cloud software (Xero and QBO) with apps to aid efficiency.
• Completion of VAT returns.
• Support Cloud Managers in delivering client projects.
• Prepare periodic management accounts and year end accounts.
• Prepare corporate tax returns and assist with cloud conversions and training.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and ensure quality service delivery.
• Supervise junior team members and mentor less experienced staff.
• Travel between Blackburn and Bury offices.
• Identify efficiency improvements and cross-referral opportunities.
